CHARLIE GORDON'S EFFECT / SUCH A THEATRE 16+
Laboratory of Drama Art represents a performance: "Charlie Gordon's effect". The tragicomedy is based on Daniel Kiz's novel "Flowers for Eljernon".
The performance is based on the story of a young mentally retarded man Charlie Gordon who is offered to be operated to increase his intelligence that overturns all his life.
The story finds new urgent sounding after rethinking and retelling it by young directors. The creators of the performance tell about searching of a sense, dreams and crash of illusions, about collision of our representations with reality and provoke the audience to ask a lot of questions: What is norm? What is able to push us out of our comfort zone and break stereotypes of perception? Do we need it? Can one person affect the reality?
